My wife and I recently purchased our first home in Golden, Colorado. We chose Scott Gereaux and his team at Edge Finance to help us secure our mortgage. As first time homeowners, we had minimal knowledge of the “ins and outs” of the process and knew it was important to select a mortgage broker that was right for us. We can assert wholeheartedly that Scott was a great choice.Initially, Scott met with us to discuss our personal finances to help us decide what price range was possible for us given the current market. This allowed us to begin visiting homes with a price range in mind. When we finally found our dream home (and got our offer accepted), we naively thought the process was close to being complete. This is where Scott and his assistant Ragan Armstrong were instrumental.Though our offer had been accepted, we still needed the “clear to close”. Scott and his team acted as the intermediary between us and the underwriters. Our particular situation had a few nuances: my wife and I both work regular jobs but we also run our own business and have non-traditional cryptocurrency investments. The details of securing a mortgage can quickly become overwhelming, so suffice it to say that Edge Finance went above and beyond to secure our mortgage. I guarantee that we would never have secured our mortgage without a skilled and experienced broker. We’ve only used one mortgage broker thus far, but as long as Edge Finance is in operation, we will continue to use their services. Thanks again Scott and Ragan!

As first time home buyers, Scott and Ragen made the process so smooth! Scott was very knowledgeable and on top of all the deadlines and Ragen was helpful in getting all the documents in and checked off. Scott has been such a pleasure to work with! Our realtor recommended him when we were trying to get an offer in on a home after seeing it earlier that morning (on a Sunday I might add!) and our offer was due at 5pm. We needed an updated pre-approval letter and our original lender was not answering their phone. We contacted Scott and he was immediately available. We ended up getting the home thanks to Scott’s help! He was great and very transparent throughout the whole process and willing to explain everything to us as first time home buyers.
